About Me.
Born and brought up in Kericho, Kenya, I studied till I completed
my 'O' levels and migrated to UK in the 80's. Gained my B.Sc.
(Hons).
Kenya is a very beautiful place to live and Iam sure for those
of you who have had the chance to visit Kenya agree with me. Kericho
is situated in the Great Rift Valley and the climate is excellent.
Tea is the main plantation crop and plenty of Tea factories around
which provide the fresh smell of Tea - Awesome !!
Kericho is in the heart of Kenya's tea plantations. There are
rolling hills carpeted in neat, bright green tea bushes as far
as you can see. The climate here is perfect for tea with rain
falling almost every afternoon. Kericho - named after ‘Ole Kericho’. The local tribe
(Kipsigis) had given me a tribal name "KIBET".
I am very much into sports and love playing all sports, however
the two main sports I like are Field Hockey and Rallying. I have
played hockey for various clubs at different levels. Started playing
hockey in 1986 for Plashet Hockey Club, Redbridge & Ilford
Hockey Club, Ford Hockey Club, Old Loughtonians and Ramgahria
Hockey Club.
I have to say that I really miss Kericho and the life-style,
but I am sure its changed alot since I left Kenya.
